iChess Settings

iChess settings can be changed by tapping the button in the lower right corner of the main screen

Players



In the players screen you can specify whether white and black is played by a human or a computer. When a computer player is selected a difficulty level slider is displayed. There are five difficulty levels. Level 1 is the easiest and Level 5 is the most difficult.

Appearance



In the appearance screen you can specify the theme and whether or not automatic board view switch is enabled. The following themes are available:
Black and White



Blue



Geometric



Gray



Orange



Automatic board view switch is used to automatically rotate the board to the appropriate view for each player when two human players are playing. The board view can also be manually rotated by double tapping an empty square on the board.

Clock



In the clock screen the game clock can be enabled and disabled. When the clock is enabled the initial time on the clock and the time added to the clock after each move can be configured.

Statistics



The statistics screen shows statistics for previous games played. Statistics are tracked on a per difficultly level basis. The difficulty level slider can be used to change the difficultly level for which statistics are displayed. If the reset button is tapped the statistics for all difficulty levels will be reset back to zero.
